Periprosthetic Joint Infection in Bilateral Knees Caused by Pasteurella multocida

Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a well-described complication of arthroplasty. Pasteurella multocida rare cause PJI that predominantly occurs after exposure to animals, primarily cats and dogs. There are only two described cases in the literature where multiple prostheses were simultaneously infected with P. hematogenous dissemination. We present third case synchronous prosthetic joints describe surgical medical approaches utilized treating this patient.
